This seems out of left field for this site (so much so that I’ll probably delete it after a while) however I found this question amusing considering that I live in Australia where it’s mandatory to vote in political elections. So, to answer the question, yes, I do, although I’m by no means loyal to a specific party and only vote based on what the candidates promise in their campaigns and go with the lesser of two evils if I don’t like what either of them have to offer.
I also wanted to write this post as I feel the American political system is as botched as it us BECAUSE people don’t bother voting even at the best of times. If American citizens took the time to vote in these elections like the rest of the world does for their local governments, we wouldn’t have such embarrassing candidates with outrageous promises made by their campaigns. They need to start taking these sorts of things seriously, otherwise the rest of the world is going to continue to laugh at them while they cry about how useless their government is.
That’s my lesson for today, stop treating everything like a joke and maybe, just maybe, you’ll have a political party that isn’t one.
